To establish a high degree of service and efficiency throughout the housekeeping department, provide direct assistance to the Operation Manager in managing areas of responsibility.
1. Carry self-professional appearance and manner, according to the associate handbook.
2. Full knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, relative features
3. Ensure that assigned rooms, corridors, service areas, and other areas are properly cleaned. Inspect these areas daily and submit work orders
4. Ensure that all reports are prepared and completely on time.
5. Ensure that an effective and complete training program.
6. Ensure that proper key controls are in place.
7. Ensure that par levels of linen, towels and uniforms are current; a summary report should be sent to accounting. Take an accurate linen inventory monthly.
8. Assist Operation Manager with guest supply each period end prior to period close.
9. Control overtime through good management and immediate response to problems.
10. Immediate response to all guest problems and correspondence.
11. Development and implementation of programs designed to improve the efficiency of the operation and improve the service to our guests
12. Maintain a regular quality control inspection of department standards.
13. Develop and maintain a motivational working environment within the department and positive relations with other departments.
14. Provide employee counselling, support and guidance as required.
